Henderson Miffed

Poor Gerard! It seems that his work, if indeed he actually did any, on John Howard's revisionist history agenda is about to be scrapped and he's upset.

Gerard Henderson misses the point of the Rudd government's desire to collaborate with the states on issues like education, rather than simply imposing ideologically inspired edicts upon them. That ideology of enforced revisionism has been consigned to the dustbin of history, just as Howard's anti-reconciliation agenda has been consigned. Gerard Henderson was only ever granted air time because of his allegiance to and ability to act as a mouthpiece for the Howard agenda. Now that Howard's gone, Henderson and his ilk aren't even relevant anymore.

Perhaps that's what Gerard is so miffed at. I'd suggest he doesn't really care about history in the grand scheme, just having his opinions heard.
